The countdown starts

The last day of school is June 8th. We had more snow days this year to make up than in the last few years. We managed to get a couple made up on days that were scheduled teacher in-service days, so that helped a little. We are now in the 20's. Meaning 20-something days left (I think counting tomorrow it's 28). The last day of school will be bitter sweet for me this year, because Logan will be moving up to a new school for 6th grade. He'll be a big middle schooler come August. Looking forward to no school projects, sleeping in as late as we want, the Girl Scout trip, our vacation, & of course lots of pool time. Things have been crazy the last couple weeks with tons of school projects so I'm glad it's all coming to end. I'm sure I'll be a blubbering mess that day, especially when the 5th graders come thru the lunch line for the very last time. Even though Logan & I don't talk to each other a whole lot during his lunch we both like having that time to just see each other. I hope he does okay with being at another school & pray for wonderful teachers that adore him as much as his family does. Steph always does well no matter what school, teachers or friends she's around. She's our rock!!!! Strudy as can be & we know we can count on her to do her homework w/out being told over & over & over. She's always on the computer checking her grades too. Which I am looking forward to w/ Logan & middle school :) That'll be nice having the extra "eyes" to check grades & look for missing assignments whenever I want. He might not like that though :)

Easter Egg Hunting at Night

The kids have an Easter egg kit that you do at night or with the lights out. Logan had forgot about it & went to bed. I told him that he hadn't done the egg hunt yet. Chris asked why they couldn't do it on Easter night. I reminded him that it'd be a school night & better to do it Saturday night. So after a show we were watching was over, off I went to throw eggs from the porch hide the eggs. So if you've noticed Logan in his pj's that's why.

The porch light was on for this staged photo. So it was darker than it seemed.

You can really tell the size of flashlight in this photo. The eggs are dark as you can tell & they have reflective strips. Logan has a funny look on his face because of the night vision flashing on the camera. It was REALLY bright.
Sunday Chris's parents, youngest brother, & my parents came over for a bbq. The weather was so nice today & it was fun having the family over to celebrate the holiday. My sister couldn't make it due to homework & her boyfriend was working.
