iPhone photo recap

Here's the latest installment of my miscellaneous phone photos.
Retha & I have been going to the gym on a regular basis & I snapped a photo of her one afternoon when I noticed no one else on the treadmills.
Another day I had her snap my photo. I've been doing the couch to 5k app. 2 weeks down 6 more to go.
Stephanie & I having a text conversation one evening. We were laughing at how lololo autocorrects. Watch Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlakes real hash tag conversation on YouTube to understand.
Card I made for my moms birthday. First time I used washi tape & was happy with the outcome.
Steph purchased her first car. She is one happy girl. She has been lovin' the sun roof & remote start. Oh & the fact that it uses less gas than the truck is a big bonus also. It's a 2006 Pontiac G6.
Red socks day at school aka work in honor of red ribbon week.
A cookie swap with a few family & friends. I do believe that fun was had by all.
I have had a sandwich sealer for a few years now & tried it out right after I bought it. My bread kept ripping & I gave up after a couple tries. I happened onto a tutorial for making DIY uncrustables. I had been using to much peanut butter/jelly. I tried out a couple & froze them & Logan told me they taste just like the stores. I found a whole grain bread that is white & loaded with fiber & so I'm one happy mom!! And he'll be none the wiser.

Craft Fail

I saw on Pinterest awhile back a really cool tray made by melting starlight mints. Like a ton of pins on there I forgot all about it until I was looking through my Christmas board trying to find a dessert for our first holiday dinner. Yeah, I know Thanksgiving hasn't happened yet, but we are busy busy busy this year & it just worked out everyone was free before so that's when we're celebrating. I ran across the tray & decided to give it a go.
I get my mints.
I unwrap & line them up on my parchment paper.
Have my oven preheated to 350 like blog says. http://tuttobellablog.com/2011/12/19/diy-serving-tray-2/
This is what it's suspose to look like. Mine however wasn't melting & then it started almost bubbling so I yank it outta there.
This non smooth, bubbly mess is what I ended up with.  So off to try again & think, hmm maybe you do need to use a cookie sheet because possibly the metal heats better than the glass cake pan I had tried.
Well second time is worse & not better so I've decided there will be no third try this craft. The edges just ran & the middle looked nice but you just can't get over the nasty runny edges so oh we'll at least I tried.
And again here's the blog that had this on there if you want to try it for yourself. http://tuttobellablog.com/2011/12/19/diy-serving-tray-2/

Passing time in the Sonic line

I'd told Logan yesterday that if he would go to his locker between 6th & 7th hours & make it to 7th hour on time I'd get him a reward after school. He had been carrying around his heavy books all day long & has torn up his new backpack. Not to mention its not good for his back. So off to Sonic we went for a Dr. Pepper with no ice after school. We had to wait & here is what happened.
"Hey Logan let's get a picture of us together while we are waiting in line."
"Oh your eyes are shut let's do another."
"I'm not smiling, let's do another."
"Your eyes are shut again. Let's do one more."
"Aw man, I cut myself off. Let's do one more."
"I'm cut off again & you're not smiling lets do one more"
"This one is pretty good. The lines not moving lets do another."
"You have a fake smile, let's do one more."
"Oh hahahahahaha I wasn't looking. It's a good photo of you though. Let's do one more"
"Lines moving now that was the last one." At this point Logan said "GOOD!"

iPhone catch up

As I sit here in the hospital I decided I would post a quick update of some photos that I have on my phone
Chris went to the after hours clinic on Wed night. They referred him to the ER. He was then admitted into the hospital. Diverticulitis is the culprit of the stomach pain & hopefully with all the IV antibiotics he'll be home soon.
Who says doing laundry doesn't pay? Especially when you have a daughter that always sticks money in her pockets.
First colder day this fall I decided to make some soup. It was yummy & a hit with even picky Logan.
Been getting my butt in the gym on a regular basis & really watching what I've been eating. So far I've lost 17 pounds.
Chris receiving a lifesaving award from Chief Allen for helping save the lady from the mobile home fire March 7th of this year.
We met up with 3 girls who we have know since they were about 3 for a quick lunch at McDonald's for the friend party for Logan's 15th bday.
What our living room typically looks like. Chris & the kids all sitting right by each other playing on their electronic devices playing the same game together.
Deena & Logan. She & Jason gave Logan the best gift of his life. A Bigfoot Investigation.
Logan blowing out candles for his 15th bday at home during the family party.
Went to Tulsa to a scrapbook convention in August where myself, my mom & mother in law joined a couple online friends of ours from the Little Rock area. It's always fun seeing them & having lunch.
Logan's first day of high school. Labeled the photo using one of the many apps I have that use for this kind of thing. I think it was phonto. Not sure.

Catch Up Time

Time has gotten away from me again so here's a few things of importance that has happened since last post. Chris tested for a Corporal position way back I think Oct of 2012. Things do not move fast in law enforcement :) There was one position open at that time & after the test portion Chris was in first place. He scored highest on test. However after the interview portion he fell to second place & therefore was placed first on the "waiting list". I don't know the correct terms they use. The "waiting list" is used for one year so he knew he would become a Corporal in that time frame. So in about I believe it was Feb of this year he was asked if he'd be willing to go to patrol & be an acting Corporal because they were short handed. So he agreed. May of this year they finally had the promotion ceremony & family was invited. Stephanie got to attend since she was exempt from end of year semester testing so that was nice. His parents & I attended also. One of the first weeks back in patrol he helped save a lady from a burning mobile home with another officer so it's been exciting to say to the least.
Stephanie graduated high school & we are proud of her!!
Cake from her party using one of her senior photos.
Logan had a little 8th grade graduation & since it was a couple days to the end of school I wasn't able to take off & I can't remember why, but Chris couldn't get off either so we had Stephanie & Retha go & get us photos.
For Fathers Day I took a photo of the kids holding a banner that said I "heart" Dad because & then each of them came up with their own saying as to why they love him. It's funny they both involve playing.
