Mother of the Year I am Not :(

This morning I leave for work with Logan, just like every morning. I open the garage door, & ask him to go get the newspaper.

I get into car, back car up, while checking rearview mirrors to make sure I don't run him over :)

Stop car, shut garage door, start rolling up windows that I notice I had left down from yesterday.

All of a sudden Logan screams "OOOWWW". I look over & see that I have rolled up his 2 fingers in the window.

I frantically try to roll the window down, but manage to unlock the doors & roll down the back window first.

He jerks his fingers/hand free first chance the window eases down & is jumping around & putting his hand between his knees.

I ask to see it, while I am telling him "I'm sorry" over & over & over again.

He holds up his hand & his fingers have big indentions on them & it's really purple. I thought I broke them.

We go back into the house to get ice & I start crying (more than he is). Chris felt around on them & asked Logan if he thought he needed to go to the doctor for an X-Ray. Logan said "no". And anyone that knows Logan, knows this is unbelievable because he loves going to the doctor & is always asking me to take him for any reason he can come up w/. I think he was just afraid he'd miss getting to do car rider duty at school.

I gave him some ibuprofen & away we went to school/work w/ his ice bag.

By lunch his fingers were okay.

So I won't be winning Mother of Year this year :)

Dress pattern inspiration

This is the dress that I finally decided on to wear to a wedding in a couple weeks. I first saw it on Monday & tried on, but didn't buy. Got home to find a coupon from Kohl's in the mail. Seeing that 30% made me change my mind :) So Wed (first day of coupon) I went back & tried on more outfits, just to make sure. You know what they say though, you always end up going back to what you picked first. After I got home I thought it might make a pretty card.
So this is what I ended up doing for Retha's birthday card. I tried different variations until I got this one that I was happy with. I made a few more so who knows who will end up with them.

Spring Break Project

Other than the 100+ errands I wanted to get done this week I made time to start & actually finish a project. I know, it's probably going to snow again. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I have had the word "family" that I got from Stampin' Up! forever. I finally did get the nerve up initiative to put the "family" up before Steph's family b-day party. After getting it up I really wanted to get the black frames & put more family photos up. I spray painted some of the frames I had already so they'd all match. I put my & Chris's wedding photo in a new frame I got today. Since I broke the glass in one frame I did buy a new one to replace it. Since I didn't have a 10x13 photo of Logan, I bought a mat also. No more preschool grad pic of Logan :)
Chris saw the spray paint when I brought it home the other day. He asked what it was for. I humorously answered "To paint the neighbors fences with MJC".
And the question of the day is I wonder why gang graffiti taggers (the ones we've had tag around here) always choose black? Why not choose an appealing color like purple, blue, or even green? Anyone ever wonder that?

One month

Wow, Can you believe it's been a month since my last post? We've been pretty busy in the Craig household lately. Girl Scout cookies, Stampin' Up! workshops, Stephanie & Deena's birthdays have kept us pretty busy.

Friends came up from down south (Little Rock & the surrounding areas) to Retha's Stampin' Up! workshop & afterwards we went to Maria's for lunch & did a little shopping. Of course we had to stop at Signed, Sealed, & Delivered (scrapbook store). The layout was really odd I'll say. Gordmans, & Target made the list of shopping stops also.

Steph w/ her ice cream cake! Just where does the time go? Doesn't seem possible she is turning 15 & her choice of friend party is taking a couple friends to the movies. Seems like only yesterday I was buying pink utencils for a Pooh themed party & she was standing in the cart telling me (with hand on her little hip) that she didn't want pink. Boy, much hasn't changed though from since she was 3. She still doesn't enjoy the color pink. She's pure tomboy through & through.
